Ein etwas ungewöhnlicher Monolog, den ein Mensch zu seinem Herzen spricht. Beide scheinen also nicht immer einig zu sein. Obwohl die Textzeile lautet „But all you’ll find’s that I’m still not deliberate at all“, scheint sich doch etwas zum Guten zu wenden, denn das Lied wird von einem Gewitter eingeleitet und endet mit friedlichem Vogelgezwitscher. Es kann sich also alles auch noch zum Guten wenden, auch wenn ein bißchen Melancholie bleibt.

Dieses Lied erinnert mich an den Refrain des Liedes „(Tu nur das) was dein Herz dir sagt“ von Sportfreunde Stiller in dem es heißt:
„Tu nur das was dein Herz dir sagt, alles andere soll dich nicht stör’n. Doch mein Herz steckt im Kopf und mein Kopf steckt im Sand darum kann ich mein Herz nicht richtig hör’n.“
Der Song ist im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes eine Herzensangelegenheit. Der Verstand scheint nicht immer zu wollen, was das Herz uns rät und so erwischen wir uns beim Lachen obwohl uns eigentlich zum weinen zumute ist oder sehen unsere Zukunft rabenschwarz, anstatt hoffnungsvoll zu sein. Doch wir brauchen sie auch, unsere Emotionalität und vertrauen sehr oft zu Recht unserem Bauchgefühl. („Heart of mine, you and me were not the perfect rhyme. I think I always loved you more than me. But you’ll see that I’m still not deliberate at all.“)
